DIY pasta

Making your own pasta is a great way to save money and reduce how much plastic you use

Don’t lose track while you’re cooking, click on an ingredient or step to tick it off so you know where you are up to.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups high grade flour plus flour for dusting
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt
  2. Make a well in the centre of the flour, add eggs and oil – mix until combined
  3. Knead well until it forms a smooth ball
  4. Wrap in a damp teatowel and rest for half an hour
  5. Divide into 4 and roll out on a floured surface
  6. Cut by hand or use a pasta maker
  7. Dry for 20 minutes
  8. Cook for 2 minutes in salted water
