With a little creativity, those basic and often wasted ingredients can transform into various delicious dishes, saving you time, money, and reducing food waste.
It’s really not as hard as you might think. Check out our #reciperemix videos over on our social channels for inspiration or get straight into the mahi, by downloading our Recipe Remix Cookbook here.
In Aotearoa, households throw away 86kgs of edible food each year due to a lack of food preparation and planning, as well as a lack of understanding around storage of food.
To help reduce this food waste, we’ve remixed a few favourite Kiwi recipes, all of which use common base ingredients found in the home (think beans, pasta and rice).
The Recipe Remix meals, which can be turned into three different dishes are:
- Chilli mix three ways
- One pot pasta three ways
- Rice bowls three ways
- Soups three ways
- Burgers three ways
Will you join us in becoming a food waste warrior and take part in the #reciperemix revolution?
