Free Grow Your Own Microgreens Workshop
When: Wednesday, 1 April | 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: Titirangi Community House
500 South Titirangi Road, Titirangi
Join Wei for this Love Food Hate Waste – Grow Your Own Microgreens workshop and discover the world of microgreens in this hands-on workshop. Microgreens have nutritional value and are also a cost-effective green food that you can grow in your home all year round.
Learn how to cultivate these nutritious greens at home, from seed to harvest, and create a salad using freshly harvested microgreens. Bring 3 shallow rectangular trays or rectangular take-away containers that could be stacked together. Please make some holes for just one of the trays or containers prior to the workshop. Soil and seeds will be provided. Together we’ll make a take-home microgreen growing kit so you can see how easy it is to reduce food and packaging waste by growing your own!
This workshop is part of EcoFest 2026, a month-long celebration of Tāmaki Makaurau’s unique environment and the ways we care for it.
This Love Food Hate Waste workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council, Titirangi Library, Titirangi Community House and brought to you by Compost Collective.
