Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Anchor cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated or crushed or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tablespoon Anchor butter, for frying
  • 100g of Mainland cheese, grated

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan on the stove over medium high heat.
  2. Whisk egg, cream, garlic, and parsley in a bowl. Once whisked, dip bread in the egg mixture to soak.
  3. Add butter into the hot frying pan then place the soaked bread slices, pour any leftover mixture over the bread.
  4. Flip once the bottom has started to get golden, then sprinkle half the cheese on top.
  5. Flip again so it is now cheese side down and sprinkle over the rest of the cheese. Once the melted side has formed a nice golden crust, flip bread slice to melt the other side.
  6. Serve with your favourite toppings or any remaining parsley.
