DIY Mustard

This is a diy alternative for mild American mustard.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar – white or apple cider both work well
  •  1/4 teaspoon salt
  •  1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  •  Pinch paprika
  •  1 teaspoon of honey

 

 

 

Method

  1. Put all ingredients in a pot and whisk until smooth
  2. Bring mixture to the boil, then reduce heat to a simmer until thickened, about 3 minutes, stirring often.
  3. Allow mustard to cool, transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month
