Ingredients

Beef Wrap

  • 400g Quality Mark sirloin steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 wholemeal wraps

Italian Salad Dressing

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • juice of 1/2 lemons
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • a pinch sea salt

Salad

  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 red onions, finely sliced
  • 4 handfuls salad greens

Method

  1. Season steaks with salt and pepper and oil. Heat a medium frying pan until very hot. Once pan is smoking add steaks. Cook for 3-4 minutes then turn over and fry for a further 3-4 minutes for medium cooked beef. Remove from pan and cover with foil. Allow to rest for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Place all salad dressing ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
  3. Warm up wraps in a microwave for 30 seconds or on a dry fry pan on a low heat.
  4. Slice the steak into fine strips. Alternatively use leftover sliced steak, cold or reheated.
  5. Assemble wraps with salad ingredients, steak slices and finish with the Italian salad dressing. Fold and roll to eat.
